The Parthenon Arch Complex - Arch 2
Rockcastle County · Cumberland Plateau
This is an active sink just not creek fed any more. The entrance has 3 windows in the entrance of a cave tunnel that goes into the cliff about 50 ft and rounds out to another sink. There are two window pillars on the left and one on the right. One of the left could qualify as an arch based on how deep the soil is at the exterior opening, I did not start digging to find out. Beside that pillar is a another pillar. This one did not size up. The one on the right also did not make the cut either. Just inside the tunnel on the right just beyond the window pillar is a horizontal fracture which is big enough to qualify as an arch. There are several tubes entering the cave/tunnel on the right. To the right of this complex is a skylight. This one did size up.
